Urgent Call for Support Staff 2018 Youth Olympic Games

Archery NZ are now seeking registrations of interest from those who wish to be support staff to accompany archers as part of the wider New Zealand Team to the Youth Olympic Games, 6th to 18th October 2018, Buenos Aires, Argentina.

As this is a multi-sport event with NZ Team support, Archery NZ is required to nominate a minimum of one archery support person to the NZOC. If our archers are selected by NZOC they will not be able to compete without an accompanying support person.

It is preferable to have someone with experience and knowledge of archery as an understanding of the rules is vital and attendance at NZ Team meetings and Archery briefings is essential.

The Archery NZ Board is keen to hear from anyone who may be interested or wants to know more.

A Registration of Interest Form and the Team Agreement and Code of Conduct will need to be completed prior to consideration being given for selection. Both of these documents can be found on the Archery NZ website under the Athletes section – selection policies.
Applications need to be completed as soon as possible.

If New Zealand is not successful in qualifying any places for archery, officials will not be required to travel. All prospective Team Officials are required to undergo Police Vetting as per NZOC regulations and the Archery NZ Member Protection Policy.

This will be a NZOC led campaign and will be self-funded. Costs are to be confirmed once finalised by NZOC and we will advise in due course. Archery NZ will support funding applications for athletes and support staff.
